The Mourne area of outstanding natural beauty is the ideal walking break destination. Whether you are a keen hill walker or just enjoy a gentle stroll, there are walks for every ability. There is a diverse landscape, which offers walks to savour mountains, drumlins, forests, lakes, rivers and beautiful sandy beaches.

You can start your walk from the cottages as we are close to Tollymore forest park and an Ulster way route is merely yards away.

Great places to walk- Murlough nature reserve ( The 12 arches boardwalk)
                             - Tollymore forest park
                             - Castlewellan forest park
                             - Donard park (Glen river trail)
                             - Newcastle promanade and beach
                             - Keel point (Dundrum)

All the above are gentle walks and are within a 3 mile radius of are property's.
Of course if you wish for something a little more up beat you can take on the Mourne mountain (time to climb donard and back approx. 3.5-4 hours).
